RUIN LUST
Ruin Lust play hellish grinding metal of death and war; a dagger to the throats of all insipid, trend-chasing, "old school" death metal of recent years. Violent, hateful, and unyielding, but with actual fucking riffs, Ruin Lust draws inspiration from the varied traditions of Sadistik Exekution, Sacramentary Abolishment, and classic, unhinged, American death metal and grind, without ever indulging in pure emulation. Contemporary chaos mongers Knelt Rote and Ascended Dead are also reasonable touchstones. The band formed in New York in 2010 at a moment when NOTHING of the level of violence, and sheer unbridled ferocity existed in the area. After years of reclusive labor, the release of Sacrifice, their second full length, reveals the most potent distillation of the band’s feral and deranged vision. LIFE EXTINGUISHED. DEATH TRIUMPHANT.
