PURO ODIO: Debut "Demo 2018" from Basque Nihilist Punk Commando Sees First Ever North American Physical Release Via Sentient Ruin.

Degenerate nihilistic punk commando Puro Odio continue their unholy pact with Sentient Ruin, this time to reissue their incendiary 2018 debut demo on 10" vinyl and cassette tape, making it available for the first time ever on analog physical formats in North America.

On the verminous and heinous demo the Basque raw punk terrorists first came together as a rogue entity of total barbarism and inhumanity, glorifying cruelty, violence and sadism at their most gratuitous and senseless stages through six primordial stabs of complete hatred and perversion. Firmly rooted in the proudest and fiercest tradition of raw punk and hardcore, Oi!, crust and d-beat, what sets Puro Odio apart from their far less controversial and harmless peers is their unique and sophisticated visual aesthetic and their meticulous yet unsettling sound blending nefarious black metal-like vocals, violent lyrics, barbaric d-beats and a meat grinder of unrelenting chainsawing guitars - a proud exercise in sonic atavism that has yielded a blood-drenched hardcore punk twilight of total darkness and bestiality. With an overall sound reminiscent of celebrated punk/metal plunderers like GISM, Bone Awl, Hellhammer, Von, Gag, and Glue, the eleven-minute demo has established Puro Odio as an unforgiving beacon of violence and immorality within underground punk and as a perverted sonic exaltation of humanity's most negative and repulsive traits.

After the amazing demo was first self-released in 2018 on cassette by the band, it was then released in Europe easier this year on black 12" single sided vinyl by Spanish punk label Mendeku Diskak with altered artwork, and now the heinous demo is finally officially planned for its first ever physical release in North America via Sentient Ruin, again featuring the original self-release artwork by graphic artist Adrian Vision, and scheduled for a December 11 2020 street date.

”Demo 2018” is now available for pre-order as a limited edition etched single sided 10” MLP and as a limited edition cassette tape, as well as digitally and available to stream in full. Also pre-ordearble is an exclusive limited edition long sleeve shirt. You can check out all products on our Bandcamp and or webshop.

Dubbed as “la banda mas dura del planeta” by their inner circle, degenerate nihilistic punk commando Puro Odio are a duo of guitar/vocals and drums hailing from the Basque region of Spain. With the two individuals masked and anonymous and a sound of utmost nihilism and disgust suspended somewhere between the most abrasive fringes of anarcho punk and the most regressed and primitive strains of raw black metal, the duo has established itself as one of the most inverted and barbaric punk entities to have ever been spewn out of their region. Puro Odio officially debuted in 2018 with a self-titled six-song demo tape that immediately introduced them as an accomplished and fully-defined audio-visual aberration entirely its own, with a meticulous aesthetic shaped by BDSM, crime, modern art, and dark and perverted fiction, and a sound torn between the wretched insurrectionism of early American hardcore legends like Void and Crucifix, the elite of British anarcho and d-beat filth like Conflict, Discharge, and GBH, and the malefic abnegation of early punk black metal bastions like GISM, Hellhammer and Von. A a sonic conduit for the most unnameable cruelty and inhumanity, shaped by nihilism by misanthropy and channeled by the most blood-curdling horrors of reality. A year later in 2019 an equally deranged self-released self-titled two-song 7" appeared, eventually reissued on tape by Sentient Ruin in mid 2020.

VOREUS: German Black/Death Legion Unveil Devastating Debut MLP - Track Unveiled at Antichrist Magazine.

Sentient Ruin is proud to join forces with German black/death metal legion Voreus top bring you their incinerating debut MLP "The Proclamation". dropping in early December on LP, cassette and digital formats. The devastating mini album is a twenty three-minute light-devouring hellscape of complete chaos and inhumanity that establishes the band as an implacable rising force in the elite of German extreme metal. With a massive cavernous sound, a delivery of pure and unbridled ferocity and atmospheres of complete lightlessness and abandon "The Proclamation" evokes complete hell on earth, conjuring the same otherworldly and hellish realms of aural obliteration we've seen in highly elitarian and evocative blackened death metal entities like Teitanblood, Temple Nightside, Vassafor, Impetuous Ritual, Pseudogod, and Proclamation.

A glimpse into the devastating release has been provided by Antichrist Magazine, who have premiered the crushing self-titled track from the release, you can check out their feature HERE.

Formed by members of Cult of Extinction, Imperceptum, and Funeral Procession among others, Voreus coalesced in 2018 as a new untamable force in the elite of the german extreme metal underground to harness a higher sphere of almost regal aural obliteration and birth the devastating debut short-player, which however remained unreleased for two years, and it wasn’t until late 2020 that the band and Sentient Ruin came together to finally birth the abomination in physical format. Influenced by the highest order of otherworldly extreme metal demigods like Teitanblood and Pseudogod, Voreus have likewise forged a sound of such intimidating magnitude and destructive yield, that their tyrannical dominion has been already been established among the elite ranks of European extreme metal and beyond, right there among the primeval forces of the genre which originally inspired to them take the thresholds of sonic annihilation to their limits and with such a refined and intimidating formal and substantial approach to the craft.

"The Proclamation" is officially out on December 4 2020 on LP, cassette and digital formats, and can now be pre-ordered on our store and Bandcamp.

SHAIDAR LOGOTH: American Black Metal Duo Unleash Total Darkness on Third Full-Length Album "Chapter III: The Void God" - Track Unveiled at Invisibile Oranges.

We’re honored to work again with USBM soul-incinerators Shaidar Logoth as we proudly announce the release of "Chapter III: The Void God" their brand new massive double album scheduled for release on November 6 2020 on etched vinyl 2XLP and tape for the Americas, while the vinyl release for Europe will be handled by new imprint Cavsas (a division of dark industrial label Cyclic Law).

A preview of the staggering album has been made available via Invisible Oranges, who in unveiling the song “Consume Pieces of God” have remarked that “Shaidar Logoth take riff-writing to another plateau [...] as your mind is torn between shedding tears at beautiful riffage and sitting in goosebumps because of the sheer abstract density of the result. Combined with well-balanced clean/rough production, and tons of moments that feel like gut-punches (like the two-minute mark in the song streaming above), Chapter III: The Void God leaves basically nothing else to be asked for.” You can check out the full feature HERE.

"Chapter III: The Void God", is a massive three-sided 2XLP that sees the Minnesota black metal specters completing both musically and narratively their inaugural trilogy opened in 2011 with "Chapter I: The Peddler". The Peddler has become The Ritualist, and now summoned The Void God to consume the world and rebuild it in its own image. Three years in the making, "The Void God" sees Shaidar Logoth dwell in familiar torments as well as evolve into a new transfiguration of themselves, dominated by a more defiant and unpredictable experimentation of moods and torn by a more profound and enigmatic dualism than ever before. Throughout the four monstrous songs that comprise the forty-eight minute double LP, the band's sound shapeshifts dramatically, designing increasingly claustrophobic and erratic trajectories and leaving the listener as helpless bystander to a disfigured and mangled ritual, while the songs evolve in and out of each other in a constant duality of ominous abjection and puzzling beauty.

Sonically ungraspable but stylistically grounded in the fiercest and proudest black metal tradition, on "Chapter III: The Void God" Shaidar Logoth have conjured the same inverted and lurid atmospheres we've seen in bands like Leviathan, Funeral Mist, Misþyrming and Sargeist, while their unique and unmatched penchant in eviscerating beauty and grace has given birth to their most luminous and magnificent album to date.

Always enigmatic, withdrawn, and rigorously shadow-dwelling, Shaidar Logoth silently emerged in Minnesota in late 2010 from a vision of mastermind and multi-instrumentalist Steven Henningsgard. Henningsgard set out to write and record years of ideas and riffs completely on his own, enlisting vocalist Adam Clemans (of Wolvhammer, Noose Rot, Skeletonwitch fame etc.) to help him complete his wretched vision. The result materialized as their hideous and foul debut demo/EP Chapter I: The Peddler - 30 minutes of raw and unforgiving black metal which viciously showcased the band's own plagued extreme metal formula made of ancestral and pestilent Scandinavian black metal fused with modern and unorthodox elements ranging from trance-inducing vortex-like passages, to progressive/psychedelic dirges, and obscure ambient ritualism. Their proper debut album Chapter II: The Ritualist surfaced four years later in 2015 revealing a massive evolution and broad improvement across their already magnificently detrimental sound architecture, with their songwriting and their sound especially now hinting at beast-like traits. Across its massive four tracks The Ritualist explored every notion of aural misery imaginable, tormenting the listener with lengthly and winding flailings of venomous black metal punctuated with dismal drone and dark ambient passages and thick layers of infernal and hallucinatory atmospherics. Only apparently dormant but never really dead and continuing their religiously recluse existence as a non live/touring art, as per their tradition Shaidar Logoth then slithered back into the shadows to nurture and feed the third chapter in their hideous existence....

CEREMONIAL BLOODBATH: Canadian Bestial Death Metal Horde Set to Unleash Inhumanly Horrific Debut LP "The Tides of Blood" - Track Premiered by No Clean Singing.

We’re honored to partake in the wretched birth of “The Tides of Blood”, the debut LP by Vancouver BC-based horrendous death metal deformity Ceremonial Bloodbath, a band set to push death metal to the most horrifying outer limits of unspeakable aural repulsiveness. The wretched LP is scheduled for an October 23 2020 release on cassette tape, vinyl and digital, and all formats (featuring the artwork of Tim Grieco of Revenge, Antediluvian etc.) can be pre-ordered now on our store and Bandcamp.

No Clean Singing has given the first introduction to this complete sonic abomination with an exclusive unveiling of the track “Primitive”, stating that “the album is startling in the degree to which it plumbs the toxic depths of death metal darkness and dementia, and in its ability to discharge sonic sickness and chaos with such fiendishly ingenious calculation and such cleverly sadistic flourishes.“ - you can read the awesome full article and stream the track HERE.

“The Tides of Blood” is a long awaited and highly anticipated debut full length album of abhorrent and malformed dark death metal twilight and of complete sonic torment emanating from a place of utter wretchedness and abandon. With its members coming from established VC BC bands like Scum Division Cult, Nightfucker, Encoffinate, Radioactive Vomit, Grave Infestation, Mass Grave, Temple of Abandonment and Deathwinds, Ceremonial Bloodbath is an unholy coalition of some of Vancouver BC's most established and experienced musicians, who have come together to forge the most darkened, demented and hideous strain of bastard death metal they could fathom, taking cues from bands like Blasphemy, Sarcófago, Mystifier, Beherit, Archgoat, Vassafor, Mortician, Deicide etc. and blurring the sum of their influences into a sonic monstrosity devoid of any sanity or shape. Both extremely primitive and regressed, but highly unpredictable and experimental, Ceremonial Bloodbath's death metal is a place in which reference points and familiarity are nihl and set against the odds of complete insanity and chaos. With its barbaric riffs twisted and bent out of shape, its schizoid leads and diseased atmospheres, and an execution delivered with complete barbarism and deformity, Ceremonial Bloodbath have created one of the most inverted, hallucinogenic, crepuscular, and inhuman death metal absurdities that you will hear all year.

“Born beneath a black hole. Callers of nuclear Armageddon. From beyond, decipherers of the unnameable sickness. Driven mad by unholy flute and war drums of a sadistic deity. Mindless automatons, blind worship. Fornicators and abusers of dirt and moral filth. Desecrators of the holy man's moral oasis and extractors of perverse soul.”

CRYPTAE: Dutch Experimental Raw Death Metal Deliriants Unveil Surreal and Crushing Debut LP "Nightmare Traversal" - Pre-Orders, Official Music Video, and Track Streams Posted.

cryptae_band_2020_darker.png

Sentient Ruin is proud to work again with Cryptae, one of contemporary death metal’s most enigmatic and defiant entities who we’ve worked with ever since their first demo tape, as we ready the release of their debut LP “Nightmare Traversal" scheduled for release on vinyl, casette tape and digital formats on October 2020 and pre-ordreable now via our Bandcamp and website shop.

The track “Oubliette” was unveiled earlier this month in occasion of Bandcamp Friday, and now we’re happy to offer you another glimpse into this abhorrent album via the exclusive music video premiere of the track “Cryptic Passage”, published today by CVLT Nation - who in presenting the the song and visuals remark that “the band’s first ever music video for the track “Cryptic Passage”, is an unparalleled and surreal audio-visual experience that confirms the Dutch duo as one of the most unique, visionary, and insane entities in contemporary death metal and extreme metal vanguards in general.”. You can read the feature and check out the track HERE.

Dutch experimental raw death metal deliriants Cryptae (featuring members of Plague Organ, Imperial Cult, Dead Neanderthals etc.) set out to once again crush your synapses with the nauseating and surrealistic churning miasma that is their debut full-length album "Nightmare Traversal". Although both band members come from vastly different musical backgrounds, which include experimental and improvised styles of music outside of metal, Cryptae remains the conduit through which they revel in their unending love for the most defiling forms of death metal and through which they explore the possibilities of the genre's most aberrant deformations. With "Nightmare Traversal" the duo focused on writing the most warped, disorienting, and suffocating death metal delirium they could come up with, leaving experimentation and free-form composition to run rampant as usual while adding more focus than ever before to the violence and inescapability of their unique and unclassifiable death metal crush-depth.

Lyrically and thematically on"Nightmare Traversal" the band has envisioned a surreal and dystopian artificial landscape inspired by old violent and gore-drenched video games, almost like stripping away the player, the monsters, the guns and the gore from 90s games like DOOM, Carmageddon and Blood, to leave the motionless and surrealistic digitalized settings to take a life and center scene of their own. This has resulted in an amorphous and glitched aural monstrosity packed with bleak lyrics, oppressive atmospheres, and erratic song structures channeling visions of crude concrete geometry, suffocating corridors, hidden passages and drab horizons of an empty and encapsulated digital world that strangles the listener. Completely unclassifiable, hideously crushing, and triumphantly weird, "Nightmare Traversal" is an experimental raw death metal lucid nightmare, the cold echo of collapsing buildings, mangled flesh, crumbled steel, exploding bodies, and hollow shrieks reverberating through an abandoned and warped universe of pixelated horrors and inverted digitalized architectures.

Cryptae made heads turn in 2017 with their insane self-titled debut demo tape, an hallucinogenic and erratic spasm of experimental raw death metal rooted in improvisation and free-form composition that instantly established them as an unpredictable and visionary anomaly in death metal. From its sophisticated minimalist and surreal aesthetic to the unclassifiable horrific music, the release instantly made the band standout as a complete absurdity in death metal, and while voluntarily cryptic and unaccessible, the demo tape was soon sold out shortly after release. The band then followed up in 2019 with “Vestigial” (released on vinyl in collaboration with Tartarus Records), a single track, twenty-minute delirium of experimental death metal improvisation that confirmed the band as a total untethered rogue entity within death metal. “Nightmare Traversal" is the the culmination of the band’s visionary experimentalism coupled with their isolationist confidence, talent and perseverance in wanting to create unheard death metal absurdities that lay on a plane of existence entirely their own.

EGREGORE: Utah-Based One-Man Blackened Grindcore Entity Joins Sentient Ruin - Six-Track Tape Compilation Preordeable Now.

Sentient Ruin is proud to welcome into its fold one-man blackened grindcore entity EGREGORE, the recently launched solo project of Utah-based multi-instrumentalist M.A.E. The collaboration will see the light via a limited edition cassette compilation retrospective titled “Thought Form” , scheduled for a September 25 2020 release.

Envisioned by band mastermind M.A.E and Sentient Ruin together, "Thought Form" is a fifteen-minute cassette tape compilation that includes all of Egregore's tracks released so far via various self released demo tapes and splits, plus two more brand new previously unreleased tracks. The six blistering cuts contained in "Thought Form" introduce Egregore as an unprecedented aural scourge, delivering a blinding and feral obfuscation of complete sonic ruin grounded in the darkest and most elitarian and devastating strains of grindcore and death metal. With a wide arsenal of influences ranging from early Carcass, early Napalm Death, and early Bolt Thrower to the dark and sinister atmospheres of bands like Convulse and Immolation all the way to the grim and malefic intransigence of black metal, Egregore has created a dark weaponized conduit for complete aural bedlam that masterfully unites the iconic filth and ferocity of early grindcore and 90’s death metal with the crushing cruelty and darkness of war metal and modern blackened death metal.

Egregore is an extreme metal vibration created in 2020 in Ogden, Utah, by multi-instrumentalist solo artist M.A.E. handling all instruments and recordings duties on all his releases by himself. The solo project first emerged in April 2020 with the release of the 1st demo, “Ritual Consciousness”, on Astral Tulpa Records, a blinding assault of blackened death-grind terror that immediately set the tone of the sheer force and vision of the project. The debut demo was soon followed in by the 2nd demo, “Dysthymic Gloom”, also released on Astral Tulpa Records in August 2020, which was an unmistakable step up from its predecessor in production quality and execution, further confirming the project’s bleak and perfectly executed vision. Musically and sonically, Egregore is influenced by a variety of bands in the realms of death metal, black metal, crust/d-beat, grindcore, and beyond. A few of M.A.E.’s personal influences appearing through the project are Carcass, Darkthrone, Repulsion, Nihilist, Entombed, Sepultura, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Thin Lizzy, Discharge, Bolt Thrower, and Convulse, a broad spectrum of influences which has resulted in a devastating and exceptionally articulate sound.

A great deal of importance is given to lyrical content and the project’s themes and symbolism. In Egregore M.A.E. focuses his creativity on the occult, mystical experiences, unexplained phenomena, metaphysics, and other strange encounters and philosophical phenomena permeating the unknown. The project’s name itself is also profoundly mystical and occult, and M.A.E will only provide you with the dictionary definition and will let the reader/listener determine what it means to their own chemically induced hallucinated, subjective human experience: “Egregore” (also Egregor) is an occult concept representing a "thoughtform" or "collective group mind", an autonomous psychic entity made up of, and influencing, the thoughts of a group of people.

PLAGUE ORGAN: Dutch Avantgarde Black Metal Duo Issue Abhorrent And Hallucinogenic Debut Album - Entire Work Streamed At Invisible Oranges.

PlagueOrgan_202007BandPhoto_small.jpg

Sentient Ruin is honored to seal its allegiance with enigmatic dutch avant-garde black/death metal deformation Plague Organ, as we ready the release of their debut album absurdity "Orphan" on August 28 2020 on cassette tape and digital formats. The staggering release features unrivaled artwork by Stefan Thanneur of renowned french experimental death metal alchemists Chaos Echoes.

Leading up to its imminent release, Invisible Oranges premiered the full stream of the single-track forty-minute album, stating that Orphan" “takes black metal and distills it to a primal, raging sound -- a droning, blasting miasma of sounds and auditory hallucinations.“ - you can read the feature and checkout the stream HERE.

With influences ranging from deviant free-form jazz, drone and dark ambient, to ritualistic black and death metal all the way to the most erratic strains of kraut and improvised psychedelia, Plague Organ’s abhorrent avant-garde/ambient black/death metal deformity"Orphan" is a spiraling and malformed mantra of deviated experimentalism and inverted incantations designed to bore into the listener's mind and ravage it of its sanity. On the single forty-minute track, the deranged Dutch duo unravel a single nauseating and diseased spell of guitar-less aural claustrophobia made of hallucinating synth patterns, obsessive percussions, psychotic bass-lines, blood-curdling grunts and spectral lamentations that combined unison weave a suffocating and disorienting fractal of self-replicating passages, making the listener feel asphyxiated in a dimensionless maze with no discernible exit. Trapped inside the near-geometric absurdity the listener becomes the subject of a lucid nightmare as they sink deeper into a state of catatonic delirium and of helpless hypnosis while their psyche is meticulously consumed and devoured by album's abhorrent repetitions and winding hypnotic deformities. By all means a triumph in fringe sonic experimentalism and among the most accomplished and unclassifiable avant-garde extreme metal anomalies of the year, "Orphan" is a must for all fans of other deranged experimentalists like Ride for Revenge, 夢遊病者, Sunn O))), Chaos Echoes, Antediluvian, Oksennus, Sect Pig and beyond.

Plague Organ are a project by Rene Aquarius (Cryptae, Imperial Cult, Horrid Apparition, Imperial Cult, Sneezing Pus, Celestial Bodies, Dead Neanderthals, etc) and recording engineer Marlon W.. Embracing complete and near-lawless experimentalism, Plague Organ have even abandoned guitars in favor of using bass, drums, and synth to construct an abhorrent aural maze made of hallucinogenic fractals, surreal ambience, and repetitive mantras to enslave and dismantle the listener's psyche. Reference-less and formless, debut LP "Orphan" unfolds like an experimental anomaly with no beginning, end, top, bottom or confines, appearing simply as is, in the instant, and then repeating in an infinite sequence of instances until perception and reference points have been vaporized, time dissolved, and the listener annihilated into a violent trance. Embracing the most cerebral and deviant aspects of the ritualistic and profane, Plague Organ have taken key elements of extreme black and death metal (oppressive atmospheres and arrangements, unrelenting rhythmic violence, repulsive vocals) and bent them out of shape, blending them with experimental ambient, psychedelic abstractism, and free form improvisation to materialize the quintessence of cerebral aural abominations.

EVAPORATED SORES: American Industrial Noise Death-Doom Abomination Ready Release of Inhumanly Crushing Debut LP "Ulcerous Dimensions" - Track Premiered at Decibel Magazine.

Sentient Ruin is proud to usher the abhorrent birth of American Industrial Noise Death-Doom abomination Evaporates Sores, via release of their humiliatingly crushing debut LP “Ulcerous Dimensions”, arriving on LP, CS and digital formats on September 3 2020 via Sentient Ruin worldwide.

“Ulcerous Dimensions” is an enigmatic and inhuman aural deformity they will arrive on limited clear vinyl limited to 100 units and sold via direct label retail only, and on standard black vinyl, cassette, and via all digital and streaming outlets.

Ahead of its release the album has already generated praise from Decibel Magazine who’ve offered to exclusively unveil the album’s opening track “Claimed by Inertia” stating that on “Ulcerous Dimensions” Evaporates Sores “ roll out a sound as heavy, callus and incessantly crushing as life itself in the year 2020.“ - the feature and track are available HERE.

Strikingly unique and by all standards of decency completely unheard of, American industrial noise death-doom aberration Evaporated Sores debut with their skull-crushing debut LP "Ulcerous Dimensions", a gnarled and horrifying extreme metal experiment that establishes the band as an unprecedented beacon of aural barbarism, bridging various opposites of harsh and inverted sonic extremism to synthesize a violent and implacable design to mankind's complete annihilation. Fusing scathing industrial noise and power electronics with the most worm-ridden death metal and the suffocating inescapability of sludge and doom metal, "Ulcerous Dimensions" is a sadistic trial in aural torment, where the listener is cast at a center of a lucid nightmare and made the subject of an unrelenting sensorial assault of complete aural humiliation in which suffocating crawling tempos, claustrophobic and surreal atmospheres, skin-peeling electronics and erratic bone-fracturing death metal chaos cascade toward total oblivion resounding the listener's complete obliteration.

Formed by Members of Filtheater, Calques, Maltheist, Uzumaki (just to name a few amongst dozens of other projects the members have been a part of throughout the years) Evaporates Sores first come together in 2019 as a “bedroom” project over the span of several months and remote long distance interactions by its members sharing demos and ideas over the internet without ever meeting in person. The three members of he project have distinctive backgrounds which ended up paving the path toward Evaporated Sores’ unheard of and completely off the charts sound, with the instrumental section taking shape in Mississippi and focusing on the death metal skeleton of the project, vocals being added in Portland Oregon, and the industrial/noise overlays being done in Alabama via members of Calques who are no strangers to such deranged electronic experiments. The band’s sound however isn’t the result of mere circumstance, it is a meticulous and deliberate distillation and deconstruction of sounds, first disfigured, and then coerced back together to forcefully (co)exist in a deviated symbiosis like the most gruesome forms of parasitisms or lab experiments. The final result turned into the deformed death metal/industrial noise abstraction that is “Ulcerous Dimensions”, the glorious full-length album debut the band has placed in the hands of Sentient Ruin for a 2020 release.
