THE LOUSY: East Coast Raw Punk/Thrash Metal Squadron Issue Incinerating Debut Demo Tape - Full Stream and Pre-orders Available.

We’re proud to announce our partnership with Boston, MA's speed metal/raw hardcore punk force The Lousy (featuring members of local Boston crust savages Instinct? And D-Sagawa) who bring us their incinerating debut demo tape "Shut Up I'm Talking!!!!", five tracks of blown out, neck-breaking and incendiary thrash-punk war. A firestorm of raw aggression and pulverizing intensity pours out these unrelenting fourteen minutes and seventeen seconds of unseen rage and ferocity, underlining a fearless and commanding songwriting and displaying an uncompromising vision that goes far beyond the mere sum of its parts and influences. Referencing legendary acts like Motörhead, early Metallica, Slayer, Discharge, Cro-Mags, Siege, Hellnation and Cryptic Slaughter, with this already classic and iconic debut demo tape, The Lousy have unleashed one of the most intense and visceral syncretisms of punk and metal destruction the East Coast's underground has seen in years.

The Lousy emerged around 2021 from the ashes of local d-beat crust marauders D-Sagawa, in a punk house in Boston, MA. Dan from local crust maniacs Instinct? moved in the house with the remaining D-Sagawa ex-members and this is when all the roommates began to throw around ideas for a faster and more metal-influenced and reckless new project that would be more thrash oriented and which had as primary inspiration bands like Bolt Thrower, Metallica, Slayer, Sacrilege, and Morbid Saint. The band's sound was further inevitably influenced by the band's close-knit life style of punks and friends living together "in a crazy punk house" with the songs lyrically and thematically "about being maniacs, the love for thrash metal and being evil". The band's debut demo "Shut Up I'm Talking!!!!” (titled this way for vocalist Jess' dislike of hearing people talking over them) was digitally self-released on the band's Bandcamp in early 2022 and immediately attracted attention with its break-neck intensity, commanding songwriting, and blown out raw production. Shortly after its digital self-release, Canadian punk tape label Sore Mind released the cassette in Canada featuring original artwork done by vocalist Jess Campbell, while Sentient Ruin released an American version of the cassette with the same artwork xeroxed and with a different graphic layout.

EXALTATION: New Zealand Dark Death Metal Horde Announce Immense Debut Album "Under Blind Reasoning" - Track Premiered at Toilet Ov Hell

We are honored to welcome into our family obscure New Zealand based death metal terrorscapers Exaltation, an elusive band emerged from the elite of their country’s extreme metal underground with debut album “Under Blind Reasoning”, a towering beast over five years in the making.

Leading up to the record’s long awaited release, the closing track from the monstrous album has been revealed by illustrious extreme metal blog Toilet Ov Hell (and in collaboration with the famed Death Metal Promotion YouTube channel) who in introducing the song “Divider of Redemption” has remarked how the track “is a monstrosity emerged from the abyss, part doom, part dissonance, all foreboding. It’s like Grave Miasma by way of Incantation, touching on the former’s blackened death mastery and the latter’s umbral delivery. It is dark, it is devastating, it is vile, and it is glorious“ - you can check out the feature and the track HERE.

After a long silence New Zealand bestial death metal horde Exaltation finally unveil their first proper full-length offering, "Under Blind Reasoning", after a demo tape had surfaced back in 2017 amongst generalized obscurity. Indeed what we find on this debut offering is something distant from the lo-fi quality of the promising but under-produced demo, and sees the band tap instead into a realm of vehemence and aural destruction of unseen magnitude and terror. Feral, enveloping, monumental and sprawling in its unrelenting wrath, "Under Blind Reasoning" sees the obscure New Zealand death-bringers whip the sum of their influences (Immolation, Morbid Angel, Incantation, Deicide, Blasphemy) into a coercive realm of shelshocking torment and rise from the depths of obscurity like a cataclysmic weapon of mass-destruction. The album's dense and multidimensional recording quality (courtesy of engineers Raj Singarajah and Cam Sinclair along by mastering from Luke Finlay of Primal Mastering) has yielded a death metal beast of truly unsettling proportions. Every instrument and the utter violence with which it is wielded appears on full display, as the listener is helplessly left annihilated, blow after to blow, to witness the band's tight, savage and merciless performance and technical proficiency literally maul down the fabric of reality piece by piece. These are death metal songs from a realm of perpetual darkness that bare a load of death and ruin of unprecedented traits. Songs of boundless terror and oblivion that evoke eons of darkness and an immanent and oppressive presage of complete inevitability as the music roars out of the speakers with ominous grimness and near-weaponized violence. All hail the realm of darkness and death conceived by Exaltation, one where the death metal craft is reborn as a feral ungovernable force to inflict merciless ruin unto this mortal plane and all that dares to attempt to exist within it.

Exaltation are by all means one of their nation’s rising extreme metal forces, surely destined to share their country’s highest underground ranks with other notorious local death dealers like Heresiarch, Vesicant and the such. Exaltation started in early 2013 with Mort on guitar, Aaron Baylis on drums and his brother Nathan Baylis on bass. The band started off playing black metal primarily influenced by bands like Clandestine Blaze and Dødheimsgard's Kronet Til Konge album. Around 2015 Exaltation’s members had ammassed further influences and refined the band’s vision further, becoming a more focused and violent project and changing direction into a more black/death metal style. Nathan Baylis switched from bass to guitar in 2015 and started writing more for the band, a change which contributed to the change in musical direction. Al Cunningham joined Exaltation early 2016 to fill Nathan’s place on bass, also becoming the vocalist later on that year. A year later Exaltaion's first demo was recorded in March/April 2017 with a consolidated lineup of Aaron Baylis on drums, Al Cunningham on bass and vocals, Mort on guitar, and Nathan on guitar. The demo was DIY recorded within the band’s confines with Nathan Baylis tracking and mixing jointly handled by Mort and Nathan. It was this demo which captured the attention of Sentient Ruin and which subsequently brought the two parties in contact via the mediation of Heresiarch’s vocalist N.H.. Label and band thus agreed to remain in touch as events took their natural course. Exaltation subsequently went dormant as they quietly envisioned and executed their first debut full-length offering over the next several years. The debut full length album Under Blind Reasoning was finally recorded between November 2020 and march 2021 by Raj Singarajah, mixed by Cam Sinclair of Dymanic Rage, and mastered by Luke Finlay of Primal Mastering. During the album’s recording sessions with Singarajah, Mort and Nathan experienced a shift in inspiration and vision for the band and were able to develop their sound further and experiment with different ideas, adding a much deeper and darker atmosphere to the music, a lengthily, patient and meticolous but natural process which in the end yielded one of the most caclysmic and majestic dark death metal releases to ever see the light on New Zealand soil. Exaltation’s bleak, unforgiving and merciless aura is further shaped by Cunningham’s lyrics which deal with themes of struggle and suffering amongst modern society and its constant flaws, downfalls, and sudden shifts. Under Blind Reasoning was released on CD/LP/MC/Digital In July 2022 via Sentient Ruin as a crowning achiemevemnt in New Zealand extreme metal.

CLAVICVLA: Italian Black Ambient / Death Industrial Beast Returns With Third Album "Degeneracy of the 5th Density" - Track Premiered at Everything Is Noise.

We’re very proud to renew our years-long perverse partnership we have with Italian black ambient / death industrial demon CLAVICVLA. "Degeneracy of the 5th Density", the wretched third full-length album from the Italian soundscaping death-dealer, will be released in collaboration with Cyclic Law July 22 2022.

Coinciding with the album’s announcement the track “Dead Bishop” has been revealed by always poignant underground music blog Everything Is Noise, who have remarked how "‘Dead Bishop’ presents CLAVICVLA in the act’s finest form, having refined its craft throughout its existence and earlier two albums. The ambiance-heavy, meditative pathos found here is otherwordly, conveying mental images of horrors and dreads both bodily and cosmic proportions while advancing in low-frequency tremors and constant hums, capable of inducing nightmarish state of being." - you can check the full feature HERE.

One of the earliest and first experimental/ambient projects to join the ranks of Sentient Ruin and turn it into the multi-headed abomination we strive to be(come), Italian black ambient/death industrial demon Clavicvla is back with its most perverse and deranged work yet, once again in proud partnership with illustrious French ambient/industrial colleagues Cyclic Law. From the artwork to the titles and themes, the intent of new full-length offering "Degeneracy of the 5th Density" is clear: worshiping and glorifying perversions, deviancy and immorality in their every form and shape. With these nefarious intents sole mastermind Ittiel has orchestrated the rise of this third aural plague of his around a creeping miasma of monstrous sepulchral ambience reeking from the ruptured bowels of oblivion, unfolding a forty-five minute sonic nightmare of absolutely omnipotent repulsiveness.

Corroding reality like a biblical plague, Ittiel has invoked these eight tracks of nefarious black ambient bedlam from a putrid death-scarred fog begotten of hell, conceptualizing its inverted spawn with blood freezing synthesis and a regurgitation of deconstructed soundscapes and wretched utterings hissing blasphemies from beyond the mortal plane. Dark ambient, black industrial, ritual drone, noise and subsonic horrors of all kinds are distilled by the demiurge into a sonic morass of total suffering and terror, and ritualized into a soundtrack to every broken soul's most hidden, vile and foul impulses. As usual cryptic and hermetically malignant in its bestial craft, it is not entirely clear or discernible what Ittiel's broken mind has conceived lyrically and thematically speaking in this new chapter of his abominable creation, but one can rest assured that immeasurable dissolution and abandon into the most depraved depths of perversion remain the ultimate prize of these noisome incantations that insult life and innocence at the most humiliating extremes imaginable.

Conceived in 2017 by recluse Italian black metal artist Ittiel, Clavicvla represents the artist's moral, spiritual, corporal, and human dissolution, and his transition from his initial artistic earthly form into immaterial and full-fledged abstract horror, to mirror the newly acquired reflection of himself - the transition itself triggered by Ittiel's morbid and sanity-defying fascination with satanism, acosmism, and the cult of death. Clavicvla as such was formed as a ritual vessel, to disintegrate and transition Ittiel's physical existence itself from the corporal world to pure dread and emptiness. Ittiel has stated that he puts together the sounds of Clavicvla to dismantle and annihilate his corporal self in an attempt to embrace, and become one with, the absolute void, and break the endless loop of life and death by instead derailing existence into senseless chaos and entropy. As such Clavicvla is for Ittiel liberation of consciousness, to assume his true and perceived form, bound by nothing and shaped solely by his own unbeing.

ANTICREATION: Mysterious Greek Dark Death Metal Legion Reveal Colossal Debut LP "From the Dust of Embers" - Official Music Video for the Title Track Premiered at Decibel Magazine.

We’re honored to welcome into the family Greek black/death metal legion Anticreation for whom we’ve prepared the release of their immense debut album, “From the Dust of Embers", in collaboration with Nuclear Winter Records, also from Greece.

A song from the work has been unveiled by Decibel Magazine via an official music video premiere for the title track which you can find HERE, with the prized metal magazine stating that “If you’re in the mood for unrelenting brutality mixed with abysmal black metal, Anticreation are just the ticket” and that “The combination of slamming death riffs and black metal flavor and depth has a mesmerizing effect on the listener.“

On “From the Dust of Embers" Anticreation emerge from the abysses of hell with a thirty-four minute aural declaration of war toward the insignificance of all terrain things. Monstrous walls of low end dissonance churn and fume like sprawling hellfires, while dark ambient and ritualistic debris metastasizes around the telluric instrumental sections creating a grandiose and enveloping hellscape shrouded in darkness and death. No newcomers to their scene, the cryptic duo of Necro and Noctus who form the core of Anticreation have been sailing the black seas of Greece's most uncompromising underground for literal decades, with Necro in particular having spent the last twenty years forging hellbent steel in such miscreant greek black metal entities as Burial hordes, Enshadowed, and Merciless Crucifixion, among others. Anticreation is a vessel unto fusing Necro's and Noctus' long running expertise in black metal and the duo's interest and fascination in the bleakest and most otherworldly forms of dark death metal, namely that one conceived in various waves by bastions of the genre like Immolation, Portal, Pseudogod and Teitanblood, resulting in their debut offering "From the Dust of Embers", an imposing dark death metal best levitating with an immense aura of complete ruin and inevitability.

Anticreation was born in the beginning of 2021 with the intent of creating sprawling, otherworldly abstract death metal, embraced with lyrics about chaos, death, and nightmarish realms and states of consciousness. Formed by nameless and faceless greek musicians Necro and Noctus, this new rising force represents a new endeavor for both, but particularly for the former, who’s been known for decades in the greek underground for having spearheaded over the years numerous well known greek black metal projects. Now joined by his colleague Noctus in this new entity, Anticreation represents the duo’s intent to branch out far and beyond the confines of black metal to embrace the bludgeoning dimension of death metal in its darkest and most deconstructed states, a realm of violent sonic hallucinations which continues the genre’s ongoing transition into modernity and into increasingly destabilizing abstractionism. This trip into the outer limits of death metal irreality has now metastasized for summer 2022 via the July 8 release of their debut album "From the Dust of Embers", a sprawling and hallucinatory abyss of churning dissonance issued on LP/CD/MC/digital formats by Sentient Ruin in America and Nuclear Winter Records in Europe.

APOSTASY, VENENO, OBSOLETION: Chilean, Argentinian, Brazilian Bands Reissue EPs On Tape Via Sentient Ruin for First Ever Release Outside of South America - All Available Now.

We’re extremely proud to welcome into our Family legendary Chilean thrash legion Apostasy, as well as Argentina black hardcore punk miscreants Veneno, and Brazilian raw punk squadron Obsoletion, all of whom now have their latest works available in the Northern hemisphere for the first time through Sentient Ruin and available immediately via all our channels.

APOSTASY - "The Unknown Path" EP
First off, the release which sanctioned Apostasy's definitive return and majestic transformation into an imposing dark speed metal beast. After having briefly existed in the late 80s and early 90s as a pioneering thrash band in Chile's early extreme metal scene, Apostasy returned in 2018 after thirty years of silence as a changed entity, almost as if its 30 years of dormancy had been lulled and nurtured by mysterious dark forces. While the 2018 comeback LP "The Sign of Darkness" marked Apostasy's return from a dark past to even more malevolent ways, it is 2020's "The Unknown Path" EP, with its heightened production and daring songwriting, which consecrated the legendary Chilean thrash legion as an unstoppable force of darkness. Across the EP's 10+ minutes of pitch-black weaponized thrash domination Apostasy set the tone for their future reign and re-evoke the wrath and brilliance of early Slayer and Sepultura, Sodom and Destruction, mutating that glorious past of thrash metal's darkest hour through the ominous and evil aura of black metal and reinterpreting it through an occult and esoteric form of prog-derived songwriting to reveal themselves as an absolute beast of thrash metal's darkest fringe.

VENENO - “Camino de Espinas” Demo
Buenos Aires' Veneno propagate out of the Argentinan punk underworld with a blistering slab of black and demented hardcore punk vomited from the gutters of pure ruin and misery. An erratic and barely held together metastasis of black bestial punk, the “Camino de Espirnas” demo tape evokes embittered visions of alienation and withdrawal, exalting a musical primitivism and regression that works as an aural mirror to a backward society that is only getting worse and rapidly declining. The blackened vocals complement the album's diseased aura of total filth, spewing vomited and bile-drenched narrative on unrest and social turmoil, while the band's lurid cacophony beats the listener down face first into the dirt with feral abandon. The demo's immanent sense of squalor and abjection seems to echo the work of certain primitive black metal/punk sycnretisms which emerged in the 80s, namely those of Hellhammer or G.I.S.M., materializing one of the crudest and most lightless punk releases that the South American punk underground has produced in years.

OBSOLETION - Demo
Brazil's Obsoletion emerge from the gutters of São Paulo's punk scene with a caustic raw punk deterioration of sanguinary unrest and grim abjection, evoking the despair and turmoil perpetually seething within the wounds of Brazil's and South America's imperialism-devoured and deeply divided and fractured society. In ten minutes of primitive rage and exploded nerves, Obsoletion dissolve the confines of sanity and invoke a primeval war, bringing together the wrecking vitriol of iconic raw hardcore acts like Cult Ritual, Gag, Glue and Raw Nerve to conjure the same darkened visions of a collapsed society and instigate primal instincts of boundless retaliation and upheaval.

ASSUMPTION: Italian Death-Doom Behemoths to Release Colossal New Album "Hadean Tides" - Tracks Premiered at Decibel Magazine and New Noise Magazine.

We’re proud to bring you "Hadean Tides" the new full-length album from Italian death-doom titans Assumption, coming out May 20 2022 on 2LP for the Americas, digital and cassette tape via Sentient Ruin and on 2LP for Europe, CD and digital via Everlasting Spew Records from Italy.

Introducing the immense opus have been two advance tracks, one premiered by Decibel Magazine (read their feature HERE), and one by New Noise Magazine (read their feature HERE) and with the contribution of the No Gleaming Light and Death Metal Promotion YouTube channels, with Decibel stating that the “track is a fantastic glimpse into the album’s power. Hadean Tides is the type of album that feels like stepping into a parallel dimension where oceans are full of fire. Drown in the flames and press play below.”

The Italian death-doom titans return with "Hadean Tides", their colossal new full-length album and first new work of new material in four long long years. "Hadean Tides" sees the Italian quartet take their dismal experimental slow moving death metal formula into a realm of absolutely soul-disintegrating majesty, unfolding nearly an hour of abysmal downtuned crawling carnage immersed in contemplative dirges and mesmerizing ambience. Few underground extreme metal bands these days are capable of evoking such grandiose visions of aphotic dimensions and of shifted states of consciousness as Assumption can conjure through the hallucinatory immensity of their transformative death-doom. Yet, "Hadean Tides" sees the Italian band seemingly dwell on a plain of creative clairvoyance unto its own, once again shattering boundaries and exalting an endless stream of influences and boundless sonic exploration to reaffirm themselves as absolute prophets of this visionary death metal transcendence where cavernous gargantuan riffs and supernatural ambient soundscaping interweave each other and are trapped within an inextricable time dilation to form a monstrous aural hallucination adrift unto the abyss. The massive album displays an unseen plethora of chromatics and manifestations of self, adding keys, strings, choral chants and flutes to the absolute crush-depth to mutate effortlessly between the dismal bleakness of bands like Evoken or Esoteric, the comatose encrusted cavernous rot of death-doom legends like Winter or Disembowelment, and the enigmatic ambience abstractions of ethereal experimental bands like Dead Can Dance and Trial of the Bow. The band's masterful melding of styles and transformative approach to the death-doom style incarnates as an absolute colossus of enveloping atmospherics enshrouding a magma of monumental death metal riffs that faces the listener with a deeply spiritual and cinematic listening experience with an immense apocalyptic aura.

The band was formed around 2011 by two fixture figures in Italian extreme metal hailing from such bands as Haemophagus, Gravesite, Stasis, Undead Creep, Morbo etc. Upon conception the duo set out to write desolating and majestic death/doom metal entwined with mind-expanding psychedelic passages that would place the listener at the center of a vacuous and hallucinatory realm of collapsing existence and omnipotent emptiness, conjuring the same surreal and otherworldly atmospheres and moods as seen in legendary progenitors of the genre like diSEMBOWELMENT, early Esoteric or Thergothon. After their suffocating debut demo tape/CD Mosaic of the Distant Dominion saw the light in 2012, Assumption followed up two years later unleashing in 2014 an undisputed masterpiece in the genre, the monstrously colossal and bludgeoning The Three Appearances CD (released on Terror from Hell Records) now hailed by many as one of the best examples of extreme death/doom of the last years. Plans for a vinyl release of the devastating MLP never materialized but the band carried forth in their sonic exploration of outer realms of existence reconvening soon after to write and record their most majestic and soul-disintegrating opus to date - the colossal three-track MLP Absconditus saw the light in spring 2018 through Everlasting Spew Records in the EU (CD/LP), and Sentient Ruin in the US (MCS/LP), followed by their most majestic and imposing chapter yet, "Hadean Tides", in 2022.

HOLD ME DOWN: American Industrial Metal Unit Unveils Annihilating Debut Album "Powerless" - Official Music Video Premiered by ReGen Magazine.

Richmond, VA-based harsh industrial metal deconstructors Hold Me Down reanimate their design for total sonic retaliation through their latest creation, "Powerless", a debut full-length offering of caustic post-industrial punishment and complete sensorial undoing which follows brilliantly in the steps of their transformative 2019 Sentient Ruin-issued self-titled demo tape.

The album has been unveiled officially by iconic Industrial outlet ReGen Magazine, who’ve premiered the music video for the song “STK” stating that the band’s video is a “frenetic visual accompaniment for the song’s mix of dissonant electronics, discordant guitars, and demonic vocalizations” - you can check out the feature and song/video HERE.

As is now commonplace with bands and their releases associated with Sentient Ruin, an aura of ambivalence, reverence and transformation enshrouds this work, with the echoes of legendary industrial acts like Skinny Puppy, Ministry, Godflesh and Swans reverberating from the past and undergoing a future-projecting metamorphosis, as present time contaminants (power electronics, blackened noise, death industrial) enter the picture in an aberrant recombination of stylistic DNA, paving the way to groundbreaking and grim sonic transfigurations. Throughout its ten cold bursts of synthetic mechanized dissolution Hold Me Down explore concepts of withdrawal, personal failure, societal fracture and emotional unravelling through a bleak post-industrial disassociation where disorienting drum machines, vitriolic metal guitars, bleak soundscapes and oppressive electronics instigate a depersonalizing collapse within the listener. As the album's title suggests, the medium of harsh and sensorially annihilating industrial synthesis is the centerpiece to this new work, wielded by the band as a dissociative means, or as a schematic to the dismantling of the listener, who ultimately must be rendered powerless, nothing more than an empty reflection of its surroundings and existence, with the music acting as its cold and implacable ruiner. A bleak projection of reality emerges from this design, boring through consciousness with surgical precision to destroy it from within, leaving nothing but a smoldering wreckage in its wake.

Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Hold Me Down emerged from the local industrial and art metal scene when vocalist and noise musician Jim Gullickson linked up with local industrial musicians David Hoefer and Ben Rinehardt who around then had just begun laying the foundations for their next endeavor. Gullickson had just put on hold is previous band, black/sludge/industrial duo and early Sentient Ruin alumni AMERICAN, and in order to keep his momentum going was looking for the next outlet to give voice to his creative impulses and passion for underground industrial. The band debuted unleashing a punishing blight of mechanized death and throbbing industrial in the form of their self-titled 2019 debut Sentient Ruin demo tape, a deadly revisitiation of the sounds pioneered by iconic machinists such as Godflesh, early Ministry, Skinny Puppy, and SWANS, but with a modern, deconstructed edge. The quickly sold out demo tape featured seven tracks of total nihilism sequenced and synthesized to pound and drone to the beat of inhumanity, while subtle touches of harsh noise, power electronics, and black metal amalgamated in the mix completed a sonic assault of absolutely mind-defiling cruelty. This release cemented the band’s sound and laid the groundwork for their annihilating debut full-length LP “Powerless”, also released by Sentient Ruin on MC/LP/digital formats in mid 2022.

NITE: Sentient Ruin Issues Tape Version of New Album "Voices of the Kronian Moon" from San Francisco Blackened Heavy Metal Warriors - Cassettes and Full Stream Available Now.

San Francisco's Nite rejoin Sentient Ruin once again to bring us another unforgettable blackened heavy metal epic, in the form of "Voices of the Kronian moon", their brand new second full-length album offered you by Sentient Ruin as an exclusive limited edition cassette tape officially licensed from Season of Mist.

On this new heroic chapter of darkness-forged steel, the San Francisco heavy metal blazers (who feature current and past members of Satan’s Wrath, High Spirits and Dawnbringer) double down on their unique and fascinating formula to pack in another staggering forty-minutes of blazing leads, unforgettable riffs, and absolutely earth shaking songwriting to redefine the ancient undying heavy metal flame and catapult the genre into the future. The band's well established and unique fusion of styles builds further upon the captivating foundation laid on their pervious staggering debut album "Darkness Silence Mirror Flame", and is evolved further and rendered even more epic and evocative, fusing the timeless power of NWOBHM with dark blackened vocals and enthralling atmospheres to tell us an unforgettable tale of dark lore, electrifying fantasy and otherworldly heroism. "Voices of the Kronian moon" displays an unparalleled array of chromatics as it effortlessly swings between the galloping epics of Iron Maiden and 70's Judas Priest, the unrivaled harmonies and hooks of legendary hard rockers like Scoprions and Thin Lizzy, and the malevolent shadow-born esotericism of darker acts like Hellhammer and Amebix.

Nite was formed in San Francisco CA, in 2018 by Van Labrakis (Satan’s Wrath, Mencea), Scott Hoffman (Dawnbringer, High Spirits), Bryan Coons (Older Sun, Motorhome) and Pat Crawford (Serpents of Dawn, Older Sun). Unapologetically classic yet aesthetically and stylistically transformative, the band delivers traditional heavy metal heavily influenced by the NWOBM and the heavy metal titans of the 70s and 80s paired with blackened malevolent vocals, a fusion of elements which has resulted in an epic, majestic, yet spectral and cryptic sound. Their highly original syncretism of different ancestral ingredients of heavy metal brings us back to a golden age of the genre when when razor sharp guitars, blazing leads, earth shattering bass and pounding drums were already a long established pillar of the style, being first faced with the rise of evil growled vocals of bands like Venom and Possessed without ever actually meeting, a communion which Nite accomplished forty years later with masterful effect to unfold their own personal sonic storytelling of horror, darkness and despair. Nite’s debut album "Darkness Silence Mirror Flame" was released on Vinyl, CD and streaming from Creator-Destructor Records in March 2020 to critical acclaim, and re-issued on cassette tape via Sentient Ruin that same summer. The second album "Voices of the Kronian moon" followed in 2022 this time via Season of Mist but with Sentient Ruin again licensing a cassette version.
