CHAOS PERVERSION
Chaos perversion was formed around 2016 in the city of Osorno (South of Chile) as a solo endeavor of Flauros, playing all instruments. A couple years later around 2018, artist Nox Fragor joined Flauros becoming Chaos Perversion's vocalist, also becoming the band's visual artist. Failing to successfully add a full lineup, the band continued as a duo indefinitely. Sonically, Chaos perversion is a ritual aimed at distilling the purest essence of darkness from various strains of extreme metal, and the band's sound is constructed on dense passages of death and doom metal generating a dense atmosphere full of chaotic, agonizing and gloomy dirges. With influences from Incantation, Blasphemy, Krypts, Katharsis, Cultes Des Dhoules and more, Chaos Perversion conjures visions radicated in the subconscious and oneiric planes, extracted from the dream subconscious, with lyrics focused on post-visualization dream manifestations, the labyrinth complexity of the mind, witchcraft and obscurantism. This dark and ominous cauldron of sonic and conceptual influences was stirred into their first ever release, the 2019 “Petrified Against the Emanation” EP, self-released as a limited tape and circulated only within the band’s local circle in Chile. The devastating EP however made its way to the surface via the internet, being noticed and picked up by Sentient Ruin for an American/European 2022 release on vinyl and cassette reissue, remastered and with brand new artwork.
