JUNTA
Formed in 2015, Junta is a hardcore punk band from New York City with its roots stemming, and running beyond. Over the years the band has brought its dark, dissonant and caustic raw hardcore attack and uncompromising commentary to many stages in and around NYC, playing endless shows with bands Like Dead Heat, Regional Justice Center, Skourge, Spy, Blu Anxiety, Jarhead Fertilizer, Deli Girls and many more. In joy and resistance, the band has also played numerous benefit shows over the years as a motive and drive for continuing their fight. The band released its debut album on Sentient Ruin in early 2024, a record that is a focused demonstration and byproduct of the cruelty from our past, the community of our present and the obstacles of our future.
