MARCA DIABOLI

Marca Diaboli was conceived within the dense forests of Lower Austria, amid mist and forgotten paths. Drawing from the ancient darkness found in late-1980s and early-1990s underground rock, punk and metal, such as The Fields of the Nephilim, Corpus Delicti, and the rawest pioneers of second-wave Black Metal, as well from contemporary dark rock acts like In Solitude, Demon Head or The Devil's Blood, the band forges music steeped in mystery and shadow. The band’s sound was revealed in summer of 2025, when their first single “Nightfalls” was self-released digitally on Bandcamp, paving the way to the late 2025 release of their debut EP “Labyrintomb”, released on cassette tape by German cassette label Sect Entropy, and later picked up by Sentient Ruin for a 2026 vinyl release on single-sided screen printed 12” MLP. Marca Diaboli’s music serves as a vessel for ruin and darkness, with lyrics treading conceptual twilight zones between worlds of decadence, alchemy, and forgotten magic. The result is a manifestation that resists easy classification, grounded equally in the classic and the contemporary as a thin line that both unites and separates two worlds at once.
