DECOHERENCE: UK Industrial Black Metal Futurists Announce Game-Changing Third Album "Order" - Track Unveiled by Toilet ov Hell

We're very excited to announce that UK mechanized black metal futurists Decoherence are about to reappear from the darkest unknown with "Order", an imposing third full-length voidscape consecrating an unrivaled auditory vision into absolute darkness and emptiness.

The cataclysmic forthcoming work has been teased by notorious underground metal blog Toilet Ov Hell, who in premiering the opening song “Closed Timelike Curves” have remarked how the track “evokes a sense of vastness, of being aboard a tiny vessel in the incalculable void of space”, and how the album as a whole is a “harrowing and powerful experience“ - you can check out the feature and the track HERE.

Humanity's microscopic existence and total insignificance within the paradigm or our vast reality and unknown creation, soundtracked using the medium of cold, synthetic, mechanical experimental black metal to infer a future reality, aeons away, in which unknowable technological advances will bridge unfathomable sidereal distances and quell humanity's longing for knowledge by placing us right in front of the mouth of oblivion, from which any return or escape will be impossible. Decaying at the event horizon, the awareness that our maniacal quest for knowledge was solely driven by an oppressive feeling of meaninglessness and fear in the shadow of the immensity and cruelty of the empty vast cosmos, will become more crushing than the infinite gravity itself. It is the premise itself, made of absolute insignificance and inevitable annihilation which makes the music of Decoherence so completely antihuman. A scenario of absolute hell lost between science, imagination, philosophy and total fear, merging different states, flaws and aspects of the human nature and mind, meticulously crafted from the surrealism of Blut Aus Nord and Ulcerate-derived avant-garde dissonant black and death metal, the grim, sidereal vastness of Darkspace, the industrial post-human bleakness of Godflesh and Brighter Death Now, and the ambiguous, experimental futurism of transformative 80's and 90's bands like Alchemist, Ved Buens Ende, Voivod and Killing Joke

"Order" is slated for a July 28 2023 worldwide release on LP, CD, MC and digital/streaming formats via Sentient Ruin.

Formed by Stroda (UK), in partnership with American vocalist Tahazu (vocals), and since 2019 also taking shape as a trio with Prior handling noise and electronic soundscapes, Decoherence has left mankind and this world behind to visualize instead cataclysmic and alien events of unseen magnitude and immensity, far beyond the reach and comprehension of mankind, deep into the one thing which more than anything defines mankind’s nothingness: the cosmos, eternal and immeasurable engine of creation and unimaginable destruction. Draped in dark matter and fueled by emptiness, with its immense evocative force and with visionary lucidly Decoherence have sonically bridged alien worlds and opened a portal to a vast and remore realm unknown, where existence is meticulously annihilated in perpetuity through immense cosmic cataclysmic events of creation and destruction, the magnitude of which ridicule mankind and vaporize its minuscule existence. Early in 2018 Decoherence brought these visions of annihilating cosmological immensity to fruition for the first with the release of their self-titled debut 7” EP released via Sentient Ruin - one of the label’s defining and most successful 7”releases to date. The superb quality of their debut EP and the critical acclaim which resulted paved the way for a short but incendiary burst of writing/recording which yielded a debut album of unseen ambient black metal immensity - the Ekpyrosis debut full-length LP - released as a 12” vinyl once again via Sentient Ruin in late 2019. Ekpyrosis was then followed up the following year by an even more imposing beast in the form of the second full-length Unitarity, and then in 2021 by the compilation System I which included also a cover of the Killing Joke song “The Wait”. 2023 would then see the release of the band’s immense third full-length album Order, and industrial black metal beast destined to consecrate Decoherence as one of the most exciting and promising new industrial underground extreme metal bands of the decade.

DISIMPERIUM: Portland OR Black/Death Metal/Grindcore Legion Announce Annihilating Debut Album "Grand Insurgence Upon Despotic Altars" - Track Unveiled at No Clean Singing.

We’re proud to announce the renewal of our blood pact with American black/death/grindcore weapon of mass extermination Disimperium, via the imminent release of the band’s forthcoming debut album “Grand Insurgence Upon Despotic Altars“ - to be released July 21 2023 on LP, CD, MC and digital formats worldwide.

The destruction-enshrouded release has been teased by notorious underground metal blog NO CLEAN SINGING, who in unveiling the track “Blade Obfuscation” have defined the track “mauling, mangling, mad, and monstrously malignant“ - you can check out the premiere and the track HERE.

Pure sonic annihilation reaches its pinnacle and inevitable sublimation on Disimperium's debut full-length album "Grand Insurgence Upon Despotic Altars". As the debut 2021 7" "Malefic Obliteration" had already hinted at, human ears will fall prey yet again to an entity whose quest for total sensorial destruction has now reached implausible and horrific extremes, far beyond the confines of sanity which had already been obliterated on the inaugural release. In its nine tracks and thirty two minutes of pure concentrated terror, "Grand Insurgence Upon Despotic Altars" discharges an inescapable payload of death that impacts the listener with the force and speed of an apocalyptic shockwave escaping the fireball of a nuclear warhead. An onslaught of carpet bombing drums, bass, guitars and contorted vocals dissolving the lines between sanity and pure chaos establishes a permanent and incessant state of absolute armageddon, while a maelstrom of malefic atmospheres and apocalyptic darkness enshrouds the assault transforming the work into a weaponized, hallucinogenic, otherworldly burden of total terror. Where bands like Diocletian, Impetuous Ritual, Tetragrammacide, Knelt Rote and Damaar had already tested and established the limits of human resistance against abstract ideas of omnipotent negativity and horizonless sonic bedlam, Disimperium explore these outer limits even further, venturing out and establishing a new era into which there is no more measure to the very definition of musical insanity sought and achieved for the sole sake of aggression.

Formed by members of Misrule and Ascended Dead and treading the same outer limits of musical cruelty of bands like Knelt Rote, Diocletian and Heresiarch, Dismperium emerged in 2021 with the “Malefic Obliteration” EP, a blinding assault of feral and dark blackened death metal destruction propelled toward oblivion by the barbaric ferocity of grindcore’s most uncompromising fringe. Disimperium have been in some way linked to Sentient Ruin even far before their existence. The band’s origins can be traced back to the grindcore solo project Misrule, by East Coast native and now Oregon-based multi-instrumentalist and visual artist S. Mahoney.

Misrule emerged in 2018 with its debut demo tape “Forced to Suffer”, issued by Sentient Ruin to positive reviews in the wake of its ferocious and unrelenting aural attack. The success of “Forced to Suffer” lead Mahoney to seek out live members to expand the project’s scope of action beyond his home studio. This lead to a string of local musicians to be briefly involved until members of Ascended Dead and of other local extreme metal bands came in contact with the project, and the union pushed the premises into a darker and even more violent territory which prompted everyone involved to start fresh with a new name and project that would take on a life and sound of its own. The original grindcore influences coming from Knelt Rote and Vermin Womb were thus completed and enhanced by other elements inspired by black and death metal bands like Adversarial, Archgoat, and Impetuous Ritual, which lead the forging of Disimperium’s dark and inhuman aural weapon of total mass extermination.

STUEKH HEXEN & FUNERARY CALL: Experimental Black Ambient Deconstructors Announce Immense Collaboration Album "P:R:I:S:M" - Track Unveiled at Everything is Noise.

We're proud to announce renewal of our near-ten year relationship with raw black power ambient ritualists Sutekh Hexen in announcing the band's colossal new 2LP "P:R:I:S:M", a full collaboration with Canadian nightmare-weaving enigma Funerary Call (AKA field recording and experimental soundscaping artist Harlow MacFarlane), to be released this summer in collaboration with our good dearest frequent co-conspirators from Europe Cyclic Law.

The massive fifty three minute 2LP, CD, MC, digital release has been anticipated by the tutting edge extreme music blog Everything Is Noise, who have premiered the song “Fractal:Void”, calling the track a “brooding and ominous piece of contemporary sonic art” - you can read the feature and checkout the track HERE.

With "P:R:I:S:M", magisterial sonic-alchemists Sutekh Hexen and Funerary Call join forces to deliver a fully collaborative album of eight highly experimental tracks. Throughout this octonary journey, concepts and unseen source energies are refined into spectrums of deeper consciousness. The resulting narrative guides the listener through a vastness of (dis)charging energies, rebirth through dissolution, and harrowing harmonic passages in tremendous spaces. Inner-workings suspend transformations in time. Pushing their respective boundaries, Sutekh Hexen and Funerary Call initiate the listener with the crystalline, static miasma of the album’s opener 'Meridian غ', only to enshroud them in the manifesting psychosis of 'Infernal Folly'. The churning mysticism of 'Perilous Shade' offers temporal sanctuary, and 'Toward the Eastern Gate' calls forth tectonic-prophecies as the album's centerpiece, tipping the scale into 'Fractal: Void'—a blistering disarmament in a storm of guitars, scathing electronics, and the disembodied calls we all anticipate and fear. 'Æscend Obsidia' tests the preceding tension and overwhelms in shimmering radiance before declaring release in 'Pangæa Ultima² (Dread)'. Closing with 'Shores of Purgatory', thresholds are breached anew with hectic guitar feedback, spectral synthesis and meditative melodic embellishments. Where the mirror blinds, the "P:R:I:S:M" offers vision—refractions of new perspectives, dissolving the shadow-self.

In the realm of extreme and otherworldly sounds, few entities have reached the peaks of cacophony and sonic disintegration touched by Bay Area blackened noise cult miscreants Sutekh Hexen. The ultra-prolific black noise sorcerers from Oakland have thus far amassed, in less than ten years of existence, a massive discography that touches depths of endarkenment and musical disembodiment that are almost impossible to understand. With releases being put out on cult labels like Magic Bullet, Cold Spring, Handmade Birds and Black Horizons, Sutekh Hexen have established them selves as absolute leaders in the realm of avantgarde ritualistic black metal and (un)sacred industrial/ambient/noise manifestations. Every release by the Oakland combo has been a stepping stone of sorts, showing an incredibly evolving trajecotry in their endless and ever-morphing vomiting of sublime cacophony, and displaying an array of influences and of ways of layering sound that make the band seem completely otherworldly. Like a smoldering, buzzing, hissing and screaming void of monstrous and unshackled chaos, Sutekh Hexen have been (along with their peers Gnaw Their Tongues, BLSPHM, Wold, Theologian, Murmuüre, Thisquietarmy etc.) the authors of some of the most uncompromising, scorching, spectral, and visionary ambient black metal ever put to tape.

Under the moniker Funerary Call Canadian field recording artist and experimental ambient sound designer Harlow MacFarlane, has been creating vast and psychologically disruptive sonic architectures bridging various disciplines and connecting various auditory worlds since at least the 90s. Within Funerary Call elements of neoclassical composition, ambient industrial, field recording, noise and surrealistic electronic music have converged toward a common zenith of inscrutable experimentalism for at least three decades, yielding a massive body of work and a diverse pletora of releases spanning nightmarish soundtrack-like ambient releases to introspective and contemplative audial ritualizations aiming at disconnecting soul and mind from their surroundings to point them inward, toward deeper levels of consciousness expansion and augmentative disassociation.

"P:R:I:S:M" releases officially July 14, 2023 on 2LP (for the Americas), digital and MC via Sentient Ruin, and on 2LP (for Europe), CD and digital via Cyclic Law and all formats are now pre-orderable globally via the respective label channels.

LUCIFIXION: American Black Metal Horde Announces Pestilent Debut Album "Trisect Joys of Pierced Hearts" - Track Unveiled at CVLT Nation.

We’re proud to announce the looming release of “Trisect Joys of Pierced Hearts”, the death-scarred full-length album from emerging US black metal horde Lucifixion, to be released June 30 2023 on LP, MC and digital formats worldwide via Sentient Ruin.

The pestilent release has been teased by CVLT Nation via an exclusive advance stream of the track “Howl, Thy Desolate Sound”, with the notorious underground music blog stating that “if you like arcane, filth-riddled shit like Craft, Katharsis, Cult Des Ghoules, Negative Plane and Ildjarn then look no further, the feral and blown-out realm of voluntarily disfigured black metal ugliness is here to perpetrate its violent reign!” - you can check out the feature and track HERE.

Indeed, the chaos-torn debut album from US black metal disembodiment Lucifixion is a venom-drenched swarm of daggers aimed straight at the eyes of sanity. A blown out, pestilent disfiguration of all of black metal’s most deranged, primeval and infamous traits, specifically those belonging to 90’s Scandinavian black metal (Ildjarn, Darkthrone, Armagedda, Craft), as well 00’s French and German black metal (Katharsis, Vlad Tepes), and to the elite of US black metal and vanguards like Leviathan, Judas Iscariot, and Negative Plane, where a refusal of modern production values and an adherence to strict and cryptic depersonalization and dehumanization of the music has yielded some of the most infamous and cacophonous works the genre has ever seen.

Through this similar “less is more” approach Lucifixion have crafted an ambivalent work shrouded in gangrened rawness and compositional grandeur, where seven long, unpredictable and shapeshifting tracks forming a near-fifty minute behemoth, are beautifully counterbalanced and disfigured by an immanent and inescapable sense of filth, primitivism and of perpetual decay.

Lucifixion were formed by unnamed USBMs scene veterans around 2020 and crafted the “Feral Mass” demo, a single-song offering over ten minutes long which immediately revealed the band’s ambivalent, dualistic nature of being an entity crafting majestic yet sonically involved manifestations of contorted and feral primitive black metal. The “Feral Mass” demo tape was issued by Sentient Ruin in limited numbers in 2021 and quickly sold out as the band had already put the final touches to its towering debut offering, the lawless and wretched fifty-minute behemoth full length album “Trisect Joy of Pierced Hearts”, to be issued again by Sentient Ruin on LP, MC and digital formats worldwide on June 30 2023.

VILE RITUAL: American Psychedelic Bestial Death Metal Entity Unveils Gruesome Debut Album "Caverns of Occultic Hatred" - Track Premiered at No Clean Singing.

We’re very proud too announce that East Coast one-man psychedelic bestial death metal force Vile Ritual will finally emerge from the bowels of hades with its skull-crushing debut full-length album, "Caverns of Occultic Hatred". On the forty-minute, eight-track death-torn abomination, Vile Ritual merges the primeval violence of bands like Archgoat and Von with the technical and compositional unpredictability of progressive and atmospheric-leaning death metal bands like The Chasm, Timeghoul, Incantation, Infester and Demilich to conjure a mind-devouring hallucination of mutated, dark and occult death metal carnage.

The crushing album has been anticipated by No Clean Singing who in introducing the track “Living Hell” have remarked how “a truly hellish and assaulting experience” that “throws the listener into a living hell, though there’s something ebullient and exultant about these demonic revels. And yes, in a way it’s psychedelic — as well as psychotic.“ - you can check out the feature and the song HERE.

In a way not dissimilar to what we've seen done by bands like Antediluvian, Howls of Ebb, or Chaos Echoes, Vile Ritual's aim with "Caverns of Occultic Hatred" is that of prying the listener's mind open with violence, expanding it to the dissolution of consciousness and using alchemical, ritualistic and esoteric orchestrations to create a trance-like state that renders the listener trapped and disoriented into a hideous sonic delusion, to be bludgeoned mercilessly with the carnage of the barbaric blackened death metal that shapes the other half of its darkened, gruesome soul. A record shrouded in shapeshifting ambivalence, "Caverns of Occultic Hatred" is a horrific and disembodied descent into the madness and chaos of primeval impulses, insanity, and of the dissolution of reality via total sensorial and auditory annihilation.

"Caverns of Occultic Hatred" is scheduled for a June 16 2023 release worldwide via Sentient Ruin on LP, CD, MC and digital formats.

Vile Ritual first emerged in 2019 with a defining self-titled and self-released digital EP of surreal and masterful dark atmospheric death metal combining the skull-crushing primitivism of bands like Archgoat and Black Witchery with the hallucinatory and diseased atmospheres of black metal bands like Beherit and Von and the esoteric sophistication of bands like Necros Christos, Sect Pig, and Antediluvian. The mesmerizing EP saw Vile Ritual easily move ahead of the mere sum of its influences to envision a gruesome heirloom of inverted death metal occultism that would cast the genre back to a violent and supernatural past older than time it self. Re-released on cassette in 2020 by Tempest Tome Tapes, the superlative offering introduced Vile ritual as an entity fully immersed in the darkest death metal craft and dedicated to harnessing the genre’s most timeless evocative power to unearth ancient forms of horrendous esoteric ritualism.

The self-tiled debut Vile Ritual EP saw the band torment the listener with a surreal magma of sinister vocal lamentations and horrific subterranean emanations reverberating from the darkest and most hidden crypts from before the dawn of time, while their skull-crushing riffs and violent neanderthalian exectuion worked in parallel to materialize the full horror and remorselessly butcher any remains in a gruesome ritualistic aural nightmare. This masterful juxtaposition of merciless execution and timeless atmospheres displayed already fully defined in Vile Ritual’s first ever offering set things in motion quickly for greater and even more exciting death metal savagery to come, and in 2021 events came full circle when Vile Ritual and Sentient ruin identified an unholy alliance in each other's respective darkened and sinister ways. The collaborative encounter resulted in the staggering "Tongues of the Excarnate" compilation, a meticulously crafted and comprehensive LP containing a re-mixed and remastered version of the aforementioned debut self-titled demo tape along with three brand new and previously unheard tracks. Meanwhile, as"Tongues of the Excarnate" was receiving its final art and master touches before hitting the pressing plant, the next chapter in Vile Ritual’s foul ritualistic death metal quest had already been set in motion, as “Caverns of Occultic Hatred” the first official Vile Ritual debut LP, already loomed on the horizon.

VACUOUS: UK Dark Death Metal Horde Announce Vinyl Reissue of Crushing Debut MLP "Katabasis" - Full Stream And Pre-Orders Available.

Vacuous' monstrous debut mini-album "Katabasis" sees a vinyl reissue via Sentient Ruin after its limited first pressing sold out shortly after its original 2021 release. With this release the London, UK-based death horde refined its dismal and pulverizing dark death metal sound, using influences from bands like Incantation, Immolation, and Autopsy to forge an unseen weapon of sonic terror. "Katabasis" immediately established Vacuous as a rising unholy force in UK underground extreme metal, securing the band a cult following in their home country and eventually a debut full-length release deal via Dark Descent Records and Me Saco Un Ojo.

Since forming in early 2020, London’s Vacuous have been crafting a sound that is equal parts unhinged aggression and harrowing atmosphere. After cutting their teeth on a very lo-fi demo, the band truly came into their own with the “Katabasis” EP in November 2020, which was released via F H E D and secured them a spot in Cvlt Nation’s top 10 death metal releases of that year. With a sonic foundation built on the work of bands like Autopsy and Incantation, Vacuous draw from a wide range of sources, from the eerie dirge like pace of death/doom, the ferocity of punk and d beat to the blasting intensity of grindcore and powerviolence, all with the malicious intent of dragging the listener down with them into the depths of despair. With COVID-related restrictions easing, the band expanded to a 5 piece line up and began earning their stripes as a feral and pulverizing live act, displaying their malicious weaponed death metal across a a series of gigs around the UK. 2022 brought the release of their debut full length album “Dreams of Dysphoria”, released via Me Saco Un Ojo Records, Dark Descent Records and FHED, a release which saw the band expanding their sound into an all-engulfing display of dark, brooding and dissonant death metal, creating an oppressive and anguished atmosphere to underpin a cataclysmic and harrowing record with lyrics focusing on mental health, grief and other real life experiences. Setting them apart from the “cavernous” death metal micro genre, Vacuous’ songs are driven by off kilter, yet emotive melodies and mood-rich songwriting which burrows into the listener’s flesh making them feel the misery of life, while breaking bone and flaying skin with calculated bursts of extreme violence.

In 2023 the band then struck a deal with Sentient Ruin for a proper reissue of their now classic and iconic “Katabasis” MLP on limited colored and standard black vinyl editions, both available worldwide starting from June 2, 2023.

GAWTHROP: South Korean Sludge-Doom Miserists Issue Remastered Demos Compilation - Full Stream and Pre-Orders Available.

We’re proud to announce that Seoul-based South Korean sludge metal miserists Gawthrop join Sentient Ruin for "Deterioration", a glorious torment and misery-fucked 12" vinyl compilation of the band's first two incredible demo tapes (2019's "Demo" and 2022's "Jumbo"). A wretched amplifier worshiping monstrosity of complete antihuman heaviness, the glorious release channels the hate-drenched and bottom-caving megaton DOOM of legends like Corrupted, Meth Drinker, Nootgrush, HELL, Grief and Thorr's Hammer into six colossal slabs of pure earth-shaking, downtuned slow-crawling sonic torment that will stomp, crush and flatten the listener to death.

Hailing from the gutters of Seoul in South Korea, megaton sludge-doom miserists Gawthrop are purveyors of slow-crawling monolithic nightmares or unseen ugliness and heaviness. The obvious influences that shape the band’s sound like Eyehategod, Thorr’s Hammer, Corrupted, Noothgrush, Grief and Sunn O))) are a mere glimpse into the crushing misery and antihuman heaviness that the band unloads through its rumbling wall of amplifiers and its torturous songs filled with hatred and nihilism. What lies beyond the similarities and style tags is an imposing weapon of crushing terror using amplified distortion to entomb the listener into absolute dread.

A classic power trio on all of their current recorded output formed by Hyunwoong on guitar, Sunggun on bass and vocals, and Owen on drums (but now a quartet featuring bassist Minhwi after Sunggun moved to second guitar in 2022) , Gawthrop have made a name for themselves in their hometown of Seoul for being a merciless, crushing force of ultra-heaviness, with stacks of amplifiers lined up to flatten crowds, humongous downtuned guitar riffs chained together to deliver absolute death, telluric drums, violent vocals, and a general mood and atmosphere of total nihilism and abjection.

The band first emerged in 2019 with their debut demo tape, a staggering, imposing example of contemporary nihilistic crushing sludge especially reminiscent of the glory of 90’s early-to-mid career Corrupted. A split 7” with Drug Noose came in 2020 and the three-way “Far East Nihilism Front” split CD with Sithter and Misersplit followed in 2021, both displaying a more experimental and abstract sound, until a total return to form as seen on the debut demo was redelivered with the tectonic, earth-shaking heaviness of the second 2022 demo tape “Jumbo”, released on CD and tape by Cursed Monk Records and Bad Moon Rising 惡月上昇 respectively. This second demo and its uncompromising heaviness was the turning point which began to make the band’s name circulate beyond their home country and the far East, as the band soon made contact with Sentient Ruin to reissue both the demos as a 2023 12” vinyl compilation titled “Deterioration” containing the first demo on side A and the “Jumbo” demo on side B and with all tracks remastered by Will Killingsworth at Dead Air Studios.

The remastered demos compilation “Deterioration" is slated for a May 26, 2023 release on vinyl and digital formats worldwide via Sentient Ruin.

ORDER OF DECAY: Mysterious UK Dark Death-Doom Entity Unveils Crushing Debut Album "Mortification Rites" - Track Unveiled at Metal Injection

We’re proud to finally announce that mysterious Scottish dark doomed death metal behemoths Order of Decay are about to emerge with their crushing debut album "Mortification Rites", a blackened necrotic specter of omnipotent, atmospheric, slow-moving death.

The colossal work has been teased by Metal Injection via an exclusive premiere of the song “Blood Libation”, remarking how the track is “is sure to drag your day way down into the blackest reaches of nothingness” - you can check out the track and feature HERE.

Humongous in its scope and vision, and inexorably annihilating, "Mortification Rites" sees the anonymous collective construct massive and enveloping visions of moribund decay, conjuring premonitions of total doom across a forty-six minute, eight-track death-devoured sonic abyss. The album's immense and lightless aura is brought forth by an onslaught crushing and dissonant guitars enshrouding a monolithic, telluric rhythm section. Keyboard-laden soundscapes and necrotic vocal proclamations feed its imposing aura further, shaping a sonic beast of truly otherworldly traits. The work falls beautifully within the framework of the recognizable and iconic contemporary UK death-doom and dark death metal scene, following excellently in the footsteps of bands like Indesinence, Esoteric, Pantheïst, Grave Miasma and Cruciamentum, with its dismal atmospherics and oppressive onslaughts of dark, dissonant crushing, yet melodic guitar work. But "Mortification Rites" also brings a whole new breadth of darkness and destruction to the platter, often branching out into the same realms of infernal sonic maelstrom we've seen from Finnish dark death metal acts like Desolate Shrine, Maveth and particularly Krypts, to bring forth its own vision of absolute, abyssal death metal bedlam.

While anonymous, Order of Decay are no newcomers to the darkest death metal craft, and are formed by long time veterans of the UK underground death metal scene.

"Mortification Rites" is slated for a June 2 2023 worldwide release on LP, CD, MC and digital formats via Sentient Ruin with all formats now pre-orderable via all our channels
